This Sunday - New Series Continues

This week, we continue our new series ahead of the coronation of King Charles – Meet your King. Jesus is a prophet and a teacher, a rescuer and a saviour, but why does Jesus need to be a King? Last week, we saw the wonderful blessings that come from living life under the rule of King Jesus. Jesus brings us into the eternal presence of God and He gives us eternal peace and promised blessing. Our series continues this week as we fast-forward to Daniel 7 and explore what being in His Kingdom is like. Join us as we meet Jesus, our King.

This Sunday, our children’s group also continue their new term as they travel to the Promised Land. They will be looking at how God is always good in all His ways even though the people turn their back on Him. Activities, teaching, songs and much more.

Refreshments are served both before and after the service and prayer is always available after the service; do ask other church members or speak to the service leader.

TONIGHT 7pm - Whole Church APCM

Christ Church and St Kea will be joining tonight (Wednesday 26th April) for our whole church APCM, held at St Kea Church. There will be refreshments served from 7pm, so do come and talk together with others. Then from 7:30pm we will spend time praising God as the band lead us, we will be praying for the life of our church and hearing news about all that has taken place in the life of our church.

Our church activities are structured around five E’s and the APCM will be a great chance to hear what’s being going on over the past year and to look ahead as we seek to be Engaged with the world all around us and committed to Evangelism as we share the good news of Jesus with those who do not know Him yet. We want to see all Christians Established in their faith, growing deeper as they seek to live for Jesus and Equipped for the unique life God calls them to live. We are so thankful for everything that has Enabled ministry over 2022 and want to remain humbly dependant on our Gracious God for the future.

Last year’s Annual Report and Financial Statement can be found on our church website, or alternatively you can click on the link below. Thank you to all those who helped prepare these documents. As you read them, you will see many of the things that God has been doing through the different members of our church; we are so thankful to each person who has served our church family.

At our APCM we will be holding our elections for the PCC and Deanery Synod. Nomination forms are also available on the same page of the website. Do pray for those who are thinking about standing.

EQUIP Resumes Next Week

Our EQUIP groups meet again next week as we continue with the next session in our series, thinking about God’s word. People often say God’s word is just a matter of interpretation - ‘that is only your interpretation’. So we are going to be asking is that right? Is it all just interpretation and how can we interpret or understand the Bible for ourselves.

If you are not part of an EQUIP small group and would like to join, do contact our church leader Marc using the email link below. All the material for our sessions is also available on the EQUIP section of the church website, click the link below.

Weekly Prayer Points

Each week there will be a few things for our church life and church family that we can join together in praying for:

1. We give thanks to God for His gracious provision over 2022 as we gather for our APCM, thinking of all the volunteers who serve in so many ways. We pray that God would use us and we seek to see lives transformed for Him.

2. Give thanks for Andy Boorne being commissioned as Local Minister this Sunday at Kenwyn Church.

3. Please pray for the work of Tearfund. Pray for people who have lost hope due to the things they have experienced and the extreme challenges they now face. Ask that they will have the strength and resources to move forward and have hope for the future.
